A look back before we look ahead

In the ever-evolving landscape of the tourism and hospitality industry, our brand has consistently demonstrated its ability to adapt, innovate, and thrive in the global market while offering the finest of Greek hospitality and a premium quality holiday experience.

The story of our Group begins with the story of our founder, Konstantinos Mitsis, who embarked on our hospitality journey in 1976 with the opening of the first hotel, Mitsis Ramira, on the picturesque island of Kos. This marked the beginning of a legacy characterised by excellence in service and a commitment to delivering unique guest experiences. In 1996, we became the inventors of the new all-inclusive concept in Greece with the launch of Mitsis Norida, also on the island of Kos.

Between 2010 and 2013, we made significant strides by constructing three major hotel complexes on the islands of Kos, Crete, and Rhodes, solidifying our presence in key Greek destinations with our commitment to providing unforgettable experiences remained unwavering.

In 2016, we embarked on a 100M euros investment plan for the refurbishment of Mitsis Rinela, Mitsis Rodos Village, Mitsis Norida, and Mitsis Summer Palace, providing our guests with superb facilities, excellent amenities and beyond the all-inclusive services.

In 2018, the brand acquired Mitsis Grand Hotel, following a bidding auction, further expanding its portfolio and reach. This strategic move was followed by the establishment of Filoxenia Management Company in 2019, enhancing its operational efficiency and management capabilities.

Fast forward to 2022, and our Group continues to evolve. We launched a new investment plan in Rhodes, introducing a master planned community in Afandou while we acquired two ultra-all-inclusive hotels on the island of Crete.

As we step into 2023, we are gearing up for more transformative changes. They are set to undertake the total restoration and construction of a new 4-star urban hotel in Piraeus and acquire a new hotel in the city centre of Athens.

As we look back on the past chapters of our story, we eagerly anticipate the exciting developments that lie ahead.
