A TASTE OF SUMMER
Close your eyes and picture this. You are walking on sunshine under a blue sky. On one side of you is a green mass of palm trees, on the other the turquoise of the sea. And under your bare feet is sand, white sand—powdery and silky, soft yet firm—which yields and then holds as you step on it. It has a light feeling, a freeing feeling. Walking barefoot on a beach feels natural.
The soothing sound of waves hitting the shore
The sound of waves lapping the shore tends to have a calming effect. The soothing sound of the waves hitting the shore was muffled by the dunes, as were the excited shouts of kids playing in the sand and water – background music we all have grown to love over the years.
The feeling of the sun upon your face
Sun-kissed mornings, long beach siestas, a perfect summer day. Feel the sunshine upon your face, cheer up and start your day the right way as it is a real mood booster. Being out in the sun is proven to make you healthier not just emotionally, but physically as well. It promotes healthier attitudes toward diet and exercise and gives us the dose of Vitamin D which can be hard to get from foods alone.
The race of eating ice-cream in a cone
Eating ice cream can be a race against the sun, but now is your chance to prolong the present-tense bliss of every bite. When you are holding a cone of ever-mutating frozen dairy, your only job is to eat it. To sculpt it, mind the drips, and mostly just to make sure it does not end up in a slump on the pavement.
The refreshing feeling of diving headfirst into the beach
On a hot summer day, there is nothing better than a refreshing jump into the sea. Diving headfirst feels exhilarating, and since it helps you swim faster and reach further depths, it opens up a whole new side of swimming experience.
The choral symphony of cicadas at night
You cannot escape the evening musicians. A chorus of lovesick cicadas can reach volumes greater than 100 decibels, their kind of a summer rite. You know it is really summer when you hear them coming on, when they compose their summer symphony… After the night, simply relax and enjoy their tunes.
