BEST BOAT TRIPS AROUND RHODES
First stop, Lindos
Visit the stunningly beautiful village of Lindos by boat. Stop at magnificent beaches along the east coast and go for a swim. Enjoy free time to explore the village of Lindos and its ancient acropolis on your own. You can choose between full day trip (about 8 hours) and half day trip (about 5 hours). The boats transfer from Rhodes Town, Ixia and Ialyssos.
Symi, the pastel gem
Rhodes is a strong contender, but Symi gets our vote when it comes to a boat trip. It only takes a 1 hour ferry ride and you will be in one of the most picturesque harbors in the country, crowded with pastel-colored houses, lots of bars and restaurants and pretty little streets. The tiny beaches are also a highlight. The island is noted more for peace and tranquility as well as the high temperatures during the summer months. Ideal place for a day trip but we would totally recommend spend a few nights there if possible.
Halki, the Dodecanese’s miracle
It is situated around 6 km to the west of the island of Rhodes and is the smallest inhabited island of the Dodecanese. Tiny in the eye, but great for peace and privacy. The only town is Nimporio, a picturesque place that surrounds the main port of the island. There are daily local ferries to Halki from the small port of Ancient Kamiros in Rhodes, allowing to go on the island and return in the same day. If you want to enjoy long walks and secluded beaches, this is the place for you.
