MITSIS HOTELS SPONSORS LOCAL FESTIVALS IN RHODES AND KOS
In the spirit of promoting local traditions, a commitment reflected through our CSR Programme’s pillar “Enchanted with our Greek History”, Mitsis Hotels sponsored the organisation of three local events during the past two months, including a traditional festival honoring the Birth of Theotokos in Kardamena, a gastronomy celebration in Rhodes and, finally, the renowned annual Rhodes International Festival.
This annual gathering serves as a testament to the enduring traditions that connect the past with the present, reminding us of the importance of faith, community, and cultural preservation.
Kardamena’s celebration of the Birth of Theotokos, marked on September 8, is steeped in cultural and religious significance, a cherished tradition that brings together locals and visitors for a memorable night of shared meals, drinks and, of course, Greek traditional dances. Mitsis Hotels is honored to have added a touch of the hospitality we strive towards, demonstrating our dedication to being an integral part of the local fabric.
In the same spirit, Mitsis Hotels sponsored the annual festivities in Psinthos on August 21, where locals get together to prepare and serve their famous dish of oven-baked goat and chickpeas. Our contribution was made possible through the longstanding collaboration between our properties in South Rhodes and the local cultural association “Psinthos Terpsis”, who organise the event every year.
Finally, the 16th International Rhodes Festival was successfully completed on September 12, after four days filled with cultural events, including theatrical and musical performances. Mitsis Hotels proudly served as a hospitality sponsor, in a demonstration of our commitment toward promoting arts and culture in our destinations.
Regular and tangible support to events that promote local history and culture is deeply integrated in our own CSR Programme “A Story of Change”. Indeed, as a proud supporter of a number of similar events and activities across the areas where our hotels operate, for being able to contribute, in bigger or smaller part, to the preservation of local customs and heritage.
