For example, Tom Hanks, married to Greek American actress Rita Wilson, owns a 450-square-metre stone villa located on a six-acre property on the small island of Antiparos. Kate Hudson and her famous mother Goldie Hawn are also madly in love with Greece, since every year, they enjoy a wonderful getaway on Skiathos island with Kurt Russell.

French actress and style icon Catherine Deneuve reportedly purchased recently a number of smaller properties in the coastal area of Delfini, on the islands of Syros, while Bruce Willis and Pierce Brosnan have also villas in Greece. Special reference to American actress and businesswoman Lindsay Lohan, who is the owner of a nightclub in Athens called ‘Lohan’, and also recently launched her second one in Mykonos, naming it “Lohan Beach House Mykonos”. Madonna was also so enchanted by her last visit to Ithaca that decided to invest and get her own home on the island. Of course the dazzling colors and great food of Greece’s famous islands are attractive to many more celebrities every year.

Stars like Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp and Billi Zane to Monica Bellucci, Sarah Jessica Parker and Rihanna have flocked to the Greek Islands the previous years for a glam getaway. As the renowned actor Matthew McConaughey once told Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon he fell in love with Greece while staying here on the island of Antiparos:

“We were there three weeks in paradise, we had freedom, the water is amazing, Greece is just beautiful it’s inherently generous, the sea doesn’t bite, the air doesn’t bite, the land doesn’t bite. It’s beautiful!”.
