CHASING THE SUN IN WINTER
The Christmas photos from Australia with numerous people dressed up as Santa at the beach are probably familiar to most of us and that is why Australia could not be missing from the list. Even during wintertime, going to the beach and doing watersports is common for Australians and the high temperature outweigh the long flight you would have to take if travelling from Europe.
Cuba
The Caribbean’s largest island has a subtropical climate and is mostly dry during the winter with much less rainfall, enabling the traveler to comfortably explore Old Havana, but also visit the beautiful beaches.
Mexico
Winter is the ideal time to travel to Mexico, as apart from the summer temperatures, many local celebrations are taking place during that time of the year. The number of visitors is also lower, so it is easier to enjoy the authentic atmosphere of one of the most colorful countries of the world.
Morocco
If you think that walking along the beach, strolling through a city market or even hiking a trail in the dessert is the perfect way to spend your holiday, Morocco is perfect for you, as the temperature during wintertime is rather mild and it will be mostly sunny.
Athens
Last but not least, the Greek capital is the ideal winter destination if you wish to walk around and see the numerous archeological sites without the summer heat. The beachfront cafes and the rooftop bars with their stunning views are a must all year long!
