CSR 2021: OUR INITIATIVES FOR THE HOSPITALITY OF THE FUTURE
As part of our ‘We go local’ campaign, we support and cooperate with local enterprises, the regional communities and their residents to protect local culture, customs and traditions, enhancing their spiritual, social and cultural advancement. We are also honoured to contribute to the work of Make-A-Wish Greece, Eliza Society for the prevention of cruelty to children, Ark of the World, and other NGOs that make a difference in our society.
Moreover, we partner with non-profit organisations for the enhancement of our sustainability practices and efforts. This year, we are particularly proud of our collaboration with WWF Greece for their ‘Hotel Kitchen’ and ‘Adopt a Beach’ initiatives that you can learn more about on this Unique Destination issue. We aspire to further enrich our environmental programme entitled ‘LIFE’, which aims to reduce our ecological footprint, protect biodiversity and promote environmental awareness to our 3,500 employees and 350,000 guests annually.
Recognising our sustainability and social responsibility efforts, Mitsis Hotels have been awarded multiple green certifications and awards, including Green Key, Blue Flag and Travelife for all of our Group’s properties.
Mitsis Hotels Group is expected to publish the second edition of its annual Corporate Social Responsibility Report, which contains the sum of the Group’s CSR actions and environmental practices, at a time when tourism’s shift from quantity to quality and the need for the protection of the environment are more critical and relevant than ever.
