As proud supporters of Greece’s young talents, Mitsis is delighted to announce our continued partnership with chess champion George Mitsis. For the third summer in a row, we are honored to host G. Mitsis at our hotels in Rhodes, offering our guests the unique opportunity to learn from and enhance their chess skills under his expert guidance.

 

George Mitsis is a highly accomplished chess player who has participated in numerous international tournaments across Greece and Europe. Some notable events include the Czech Republic Pardubice 2015, 2nd Saturday in Budapest, Hungary, and the European Youth Championship in Bratislava, Slovakia, among others. George has consistently showcased his skills and dedication, achieving remarkable success in his chess career.

One of George’s remarkable achievements is winning the Youth Plays in Attica championship for two consecutive years, highlighting his talent and strategic prowess. Notably, he has faced and emerged victorious against renowned Grand Masters of chess, demonstrating his exceptional skills and competitive spirit.

 

George’s impressive journey also includes being among the top 3 finalists at the Greek Open Chess Championship in 2019. This achievement showcased his ability to compete at the highest level and established him as one of the country’s top chess players. Additionally, George earned the qualification to participate in the Greek Individual Chess Championship in the same year, further validating his dedication and talent in the chess world.
