GALINI PROJECT SHOWCASED IN THE BELGIAN PUBLIC TV
A 50-million-euro investment aims to modernise and upgrade the property, which has a total area of 475,000 sq.m., revitalize the wider area, and empower the local community. The investment will create at least 500 new job positions, while tax revenues will amount to more than 200 million euros. Specifically, Mitsis Hotels Group commits to implementing the following:
- First, the renovation of the existing hotel complex and thalassotherapy centre to meet international hotel standards for its category.
- Second, the restoration and renovation of the abandoned hotels “Radion” and “Thronion,” as well as the abandoned hydrotherapy centres “Asklepios” and “Hippocrates”.
- Third, the redesign of the seafront through the construction of a pedestrian walkway, a bicycle lane, and a coastal park.
- Fourth, the upgrading and maintenance of green spaces and pedestrian areas.
The project in the area of Loutraki Kamena Vourla is a milestone for us in terms of new investments, as it is the only centre in the world that simultaneously hosts thermal springs and sea therapy, in a unique location that combines mountain and sea, while the Maliakos Gulf and Thermopylae have a long history and natural beauty.
All of us at Mitsis Hotels, are working hard to promote thermalism, reform the wider area, and establish Kamena Vourla as an international wellness destination.
Thank you very much, and we hope to be worthy of utilizing such an important asset of the Hellenic Republic, which has not lost its public character.
