GREECE: A SAFE DESTINATION FOR SUMMER HOLIDAYS
The first tourists will be from countries where the epidemiological data is encouraging, like the Balkans, such as Bulgaria and countries in northern Europe, such as Germany. The Minister of Tourism, Haris Theocharis reassured that authorities will boost the healthcare capacity of several tourist destinations by providing tests and doctors, as well as an operational plan for the handling of possible infections (a hotel doctor, quarantine areas and transfer to a health facility).
Greece’s safety, as a country and tourism destination to travel to, will be also the highlight of a promotion campaign, according to Greek Deputy Minister of Tourism Manos Konsolas. Konsolas ascertained that the Tourism Ministry will frequently inform tourism professionals and bodies on how exactly to implement the rules to be included in the upcoming health and safety protocols.
