HIGHLIGHTS FROM THE WINE TASTING SOIREE AT SOFITEL ATHENS AIRPORT
This exceptional wine tasting was organised in collaboration with “Papagiannakos Winery”, the first winery especially designed and built in Greece according to innovative bioclimatic standards. Being dedicated to the pure essence of the wines & friendly to the environment, Papagiannakos follows innovative methods of bioclimatic architecture and engineering producing awarded wines from estate-grown grapes since 1919. The 4 fine wines were paired with an exquisite culinary experience crafted by the chefs of Sofitel Athens Airport, including a sweet pumpkin salad, orzo pasta with shrimps, slow-cooked beef cheeks and pavlova.
The winemaker himself, Mr. Papagiannakos and his partners presented the wines to our guests to let them indulge in a unique and memorable experience.
Specifically, the wines were:
- Dry White Wine, P.G.I, Markopoulo Savatiano 100%
- Granatus Cabernet Sauvignon 70% Agiorgitiko 30%
- Dry Red Wine Kalogeri – Cabernet Sauvignon P.G.I. Attica 100%
- Melias Sweet White Wine P.G.I. Attica, Malagouzia 100%
