MAKING GREECE WISER
So the purpose is twofold. On the one hand, the backbone of the Greek economy is strengthened – i.e. small family businesses – while at the same time an important social work is being carried out, since it ensures the most basic good for our fellow human beings… nutrition.
Also, producers working with Wise Greece can promote their products more effectively and approach markets that in themselves would not be possible, while at the same time offering their high quality products in places where there is a need for food.
Melina recently impressed the domestic business community as she received the highly honorary SDGs + Her award from the World Bank and the United Nations, as one of the seven women in the world who, with their work, strongly support the Global Sustainability Agenda 2030.
The importance of the prize is reinforced by the fact that in the midst of a pandemic, Wise Greece continued its work at the same pace, demonstrating adaptability and resilience. It is also the only non-profit awarded with the SDGs and Her award, among all countries in Europe and Central Asia!
The founder of Wise Greece and her colleagues envision a future where social entrepreneurship will help Greece and its inhabitants overcome social problems so that they do not lack basic goods.
