Renovations
Building upon the 2018 paradigm and creating an unprecedented restoration success story for season 2019, Mitsis Hotels this year moved on one step further with Summer Palace stunning main pools, Mediterranean restaurant and bars’ renovation. Norida’s new theme restaurants have become the hotel’s hot spots, as they combine the perfect culinary experience with the most ideal scenery. Rinela is upgrading its product and service offerings to simply delight its guests in the new season! The exquisite Fine Wine, Champagne & Sushi bar provides a matchless pleasure to the palate and sight.
Digital Innovations
On the digital arena, we entered the new digital era with Open Text, which enables the smart digital management of business intelligence. Customized by COSMOTE in collaboration with Your Ideas, Open Text addresses the needs of Mitsis Hotels, throughout our Group’s administrative and operational structure, enabling the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications for the processing and analysis of Big Data stored in the information management environment.
New brands
To relate to our guests even when they are not with us, we created our new brand LOVE, featuring exclusive items designed and produced with special care to ensure high quality & style. Our collection is inspired by the Greek history, culture and architecture. We have selected the most characteristic representations from our islands to create an exclusive collection of items with the use of the finest materials. The collection offers three product lines; business, personal and home. Moreover, we launched a brand-new e-shop ‘LOVE’ with a fresh look and feel and intuitive design, where you can order online your summer accessories and gifts. Our products are available in Crete, Kos and Rhodes and online!
New services & offerings
New services and offerings are designed each season to surpass our guests’ expectations and upgrade their holiday experience. We offer airport free transfer when booking online through our official website at Alila, Blue Domes and Laguna. We elevate your stay, by offering a rich bouquet of concierge services for a memorable vacation at our unique destinations. Alila and Grand Hotel in Rhodes, Laguna in Crete and Ramira in Kos offer concierge services to our guests while in season 2020, the offering will be further enriched. For season 2019, our guests enjoyed a great number of new foodie offerings in their room or at the restaurants, during breakfast and throughout the day! Moreover, room service 24h: guests can order breakfast, lunch or dinner to be delivered in the room from the available menu at an extra charge. Plus, you can brunch it up, daily, the Mitsis Hotels way!
Sustainability & wellbeing
This season we joined Bravo Sustainability Dialogue & Awards 2019 in the category “Bravo Society” with our project “We go Local”, launched a series of initiatives organized under the umbrella “LIFE. Our Green Project”: we organized beach clean ups, seventeen of our hotels earned a green key and eleven a blue flag, we joined earth hour with Sofitel Athens Airport, we supported actions protecting the wildlife of our destinations. Last but not least, we organized a reforestation in collaboration with the Southern Aegean Region and the Dodecanese Forestry Office, with the participation of our team members and guests!

Events & Celebrations
It is kind of impossible to mention all the great events of the season but here are some of them. The season started with the spectacular birthday party for the 6 stunning years of operation of Alila Resort & Spa in Rhodes. By the time the candles of the birthday cake were blown, a firework show lighted up the night sky and dozens of white and blue balloons lifted up to elevate even more this Unique Birthday Party. It was a real blast hosting the participators of the 16th Tour Amical 2019, the largest car tour show with 130 antique vehicles, at Galini Wellness Spa & Resort in Kamena Vourla from May 11 to 17. The tour crossed all over Greece with Athens as the starting point and Kamena Vourla as a stopover. Magnifique Weddings, organized by Sofitel Athens Airport and Mitsis Hotels Group on June 19, was held in Sofitel Athens Airport, with the participation of prominent wedding market suppliers. Guests were toured around the hotel’s wedding facilities, tasted gourmet suggestions from the executive chefs, as well as separate wine labels. On August 15, we celebrated the most impressive moon of the year! Together we joyed under the moonlight, we danced to the greatest hits, we wore our white clothes and toasted our glasses to the endless summer!

Mitsis Hotels group this season had the honor to be multi-awarded in various occasions while the hotels earned significant recognitions and certifications. We list some of them shortly, European business awards, Diamonds of the Greek Economy 2019 distinction, Trip Advisor’s Hall of Fame ’19, and Fisher award for 2019, Apollo awards 2019. TUI family champions 2019, TUI Holly award for Alila, Tourism awards 2019, international design award for Rinela, world luxury hotel award for Laguna while Ramira voted as the best hotel in the world once again!
