Committed to our sustainability policy, we make continuous efforts to minimise our environmental footprint. Guided by our ambitious goal of zero waste, we take steps towards reducing consumption, maximising recycling and minimising waste, moving towards the circular economy model for our operations.
In Europe, more than 25 million tons of plastic waste are generated every year and 85% of marine pollution is said to be plastic waste.
Single-use plastic products are more likely to end up in our seas than reusable options and, this summer, Mitsis Hotels eliminated all single-use plastics from operations. Durable, polycarbonate glasses are offered instead, providing guests with a more sustainable alternative and taking a critical step in the right direction.
We urge our guests to reduce, reuse and recycle products, as well as not throw away polycarbonate glasses. Say NO to single-use plastic and help us protect the planet!
