THE TRIPS WE WANT TO TAKE FIRST
A few lazy weeks in Greece
On the other hand, fantasize of relaxation and being able to enjoy the simple things like getting together all the members of your family for a few weeks, on a Greek island and more specifically, the mountainous Hydra. Hydra is only one hour and a half away from Athens and it is really suitable for a nice getaway. Mornings consist of meandering hikes along the coastline; lunches mean eating freshly caught seafood; afternoons require nothing more than dipping into the sea.
A no-responsibilities trip
Some of you may simply want to travel and the destination is what matters less, especially after this year. These are people who miss the sentiment of being free to move around and being taken care of by someone else’s hospitable hands. 2020 was a year where everyone had to be self-isolated and by extension self-sufficient, so some people crave the hospitality of five-star resorts, with long beach days and incredible dining, the combination of being in the comfort of your luxurious room and seeing new places at the same time.
An epic train journey through Russia
Set yourself free again, seize every opportunity given and visit places, learn their history and live an once in a lifetime experience. A dreamy journey is Russia, a country with enormous history and breathtaking architecture. In St. Petersburg, there is the Mariinsky Theatre, the Winter Palace, the State Hermitage Museum and the Peter and Paul Fortress, and in Moscow, the Kremlin, St. Basil’s Cathedral, and the Bolshoi Theatre – beautiful and historical places. To make this journey more fun and unforgettable, take the train. The Trans-Siberian Railway that passes across most of Russia, gives visitors the chance to visit many places, meet locals and see the sights, including Lake Baikal and the remote city of Novosibirsk.
A family get-together in upstate New York
All some people wish is a simple getaway to upstate New York, to celebrate their parents’ birthdays and anniversaries. They are planning to spend five nights as a family at a tricked out compound by the lake. These kinds of trips are always good for the soul, spending quality time with the family, enjoying hours-long dinners and empty wine bottles, laughs, stories and games, to remind everyone what matters most.
