
Where to find the bluest waters in Crete
Crete, the largest of the Greek islands, is renowned for its stunning landscapes, rich history, and captivating culture. Located on the south coast of Crete, 50 km south of the town from Rethymno 13 km south-west of the village of Akoumia. Triopetra is a cape with 3 rocks. Hence the name “Trio + Petra”. It is a fascinating geological structure where it looks like layers of rocks have been piled up.It is absolutely fascinating to explore. Quite long and wide, with coarse sand and clear blue waters, it really is breathtaking and you can certainly spend entire holidays without getting tired of its beauty.
Balos Beach & its lagoon
The lagoon of Balos is located at 56 kilometers northwest of Chania. Balos happily welcomes nature lovers with its wild and exotic beauty. The clear, warm, bright shades of turquoise and vivid blue waters add to the attraction, whilst its white and pink sand blends perfectly.
Falassarna Beach
The exotic beach of Falassarna is located 59 km west of Chania megacity and nearly 17 km west of Kissamos, at the western base of promontory Gramvousa. At the northern end of the beach there are the remains of the ancient Grecoroman megacity of Phalassarna.
Preveli beach is located about 35 km south of Rethymno. It draws attention with its unique landscape of lush palm trees and vegetation where the magnificent meets the sea. Preveli is dedicated and named after the holy monastery located nearby. The area is home to interesting wildlife due to its biodiversity and natural beauty and is under Natura 2000 special protection.
Seitan Limania beach
Stefanou Beach is located at Seitan Limania position, 22 km northeast of Chania and 2 km east of the village of on the east side of Cape Akrotiri. The fame of the beach has seen an increase since 2010, a few years after the paved road reached the spot;the beach is crowded during high season. You can access it by parking your car and to walk till then, or you can enjoy a canyoning adventure with our experienced guides which at the end will lead you there.
Elafonisi is located 76 km west of Chania and 5 km south of the Chrysoskalitisa monastery, at the southwestern tip of Crete. Elafonisi is an oblong peninsula, which often breaks into two parts by water giving the impression of being an island. It is a Natura 2000 protected area. The sand is pink in many places, drawing the color of millions of crushed seashells.
