
WWF HOTEL KITCHEN PROGRAMME
Aiming to continuously reduce the environmental footprint of its 19 hotels, Mitsis Hotels is proud to continue its partnership with WWF Greece for the Hotel Kitchen initiative! The innovative Hotel Kitchen programme aims to reduce food waste in hotels, a critical step in our sustainability journey.
Mitsis Hotels form task forces responsible for managing food waste and developing strategies for food waste reduction. We establish appropriate systems for sorting and measuring waste, aiming to monitor the effectiveness of our efforts and recognise the work of team members.
Our employees are extensively trained on their potential contribution to minimising food waste and their role in preventing it. Utilisation of organic residue and food donation programs is also be implemented.
